How the size comparison tool works
Select a reference and a comparison object. The drawings share a single metres-to-pixels scale, preserving their schematic proportions. Swapping them changes which measurement is in the denominator of the displayed ratio; it does not change their physical sizes.
The tool compares labelled linear dimensions. A mountain’s summit elevation is different from its visible rise, a planet’s diameter is different from its volume, and a whale’s body length is different from standing height. Source notes remain beside every result.
Your custom height stays in this page. If you share a comparison using it, the height is included in the link so the recipient can reconstruct the same view. No account is required.
Read the dimension guide, browse the full object library, or test your eye in the daily size guessing game.
